Located at 1305 E Franklin St, this charming eatery has become synonymous with hearty breakfast biscuits that transport you straight to Southern comfort. At Sunrise Biscuit Kitchen, the star of the show is undoubtedly the homemade biscuits. Whether you opt for a classic gravy biscuit, a nostalgic plain or buttered one, or one loaded with chicken breast, each creation bursts with flavor and the warmth of tradition. As a food reviewer, it’s a joyous experience to sink my teeth into these giant, fluffy treats that embody everything a good Southern biscuit should be—tender, buttery, and full of heart.
Menu Highlights:
- Gravy Biscuit - A comforting classic at just $2.79.
- Chicken Biscuit - Moist and crispy, priced at $4.99.
- Cheddar Cheese Biscuit - A tasty twist available for $2.79.

With sides like hash browns, cole slaw, and grits, customers have plenty of options to customize their meal. One customer fondly recounted their interaction with a friendly employee who brightened their day with a warm smile. Such service feels rare in today’s fast-paced world and adds a personal touch that enhances the entire dining experience.
Customer Favorites:

I just ordered 2 great hot dogs. This is one of the last places to find one with the old fashioned taste I love. But more importantly, the customer service was AWESOME. The young lady at the window was very friendly and fast, and I received service with a smile, something that doesn't happen a lot anymore...

Been going here my whole life, it’s amazing. Quality does fluctuate sometimes but it always comes back up to amazing. Chicken egg and cheese biscuit is the best thing on the menu in my opinion. If you’re expecting good coffee, go somewhere else - this place is all about the biscuits.

I saw this place on the Travel Channel over five years ago and I finally tried them out. It wasn't busy (two days until Christmas). I love those biscuits and cinnamon roll!!!! I recommend the menu, everything off the menu. And the woman working the window makes it taste better when she says "enjoy."

I haven’t been here in at least 15 years, so I stopped in today while I was in town. The fried chicken biscuit was just as good as I remembered — and that buttery, fluffy biscuit? Exactly what a good ‘ol southern biscuit should be! I went close to closing time, so there was no line and I was greeted with a big smile. It’s a good thing I don’t work or live close by anymore, I’d be visiting way too often!
